Fault Detection and Treatment of Electromagnetic Flowmeter

Smart converter and electromagnetic flow sensor composition with electromagnetic flow meter flow measurement, therefore, before processing converter failure, you should first check the status of the pipeline fluid flow, sensors, wiring and other systems is normal!
- Instrument no Display
a） Check that the power is turned on;b） Check the power fuse is intact, the fuse should be the same model specifications when replace it;c） Check whether the supply voltage requirements;d） Check whether the display contrast adjustment can be adjusted, and adjusted if it is proper;
e） When you can not find the problem, please ask the electromagnetic flowmeter manufacturer for maintenance.
- Excitation Alarm
a） whether the Field wiring EX1 and EX2 is open;b） The total resistance of sensor excitation coil should be less than 150Ω;
c） If a), b) two are normal, the converter is faulty.
- Empty Pipe and Electrode Alarm
a） Make sure the fluid are full of measuring tube;
b） Use the wire make the converter signal input terminal SIG1, SIG2 and SIG GND short circuit, at this time if the "Empty Pipe Alarm" and "abnormal electrode" prompt to undo, indicating the converter correctly, it may be caused by the low conductivity of measured fluid or the electrode is covered by gas;
c） Check the signal wiring is correct.
- Upper Limit Alarm
Tip output current and output frequency (or pulse) are overrun. Make the flow range large can cancel the upper limit alarm.
- Lower Limit Alarm
Tip output current and output frequency (or pulse) are overrun. Make the flow range small can cancel the lower limit alarm.
- System Configuration Error
Have been made intelligent judgment and prompt in flow range setting, flow totalizer units set up and pulse equivalent setting, so it is convenient to modify the settings.
System Self-test Alarm
Please ask the electromagnetic flow meter manufacturer for maintenance.
