The orifice flowmeter is a high turndown differential pressure flow device composed of a standard orifice plate and a multi-parameter differential pressure transmitter (or differential pressure transmitter, temperature transmitter, pressure transmitter). It can measure the flow of gas, steam, liquid and water. The orifice flowmeter is when the fluid passes through the orifice plate throttling device on the pipeline, a pressure difference is formed before and after it. The size of the pressure difference is related to the flow of the fluid. According to this principle, in the actual application process of the orifice gas flowmeter, such as the measurement of air, gas, and steam, because there is water vapor in the measuring medium, when the temperature drops or the pressure rises, it passes through the flow totalizer
The flow rate can be displayed, and water vapor will form water, which often gathers in front of the metering hole, causing metering errors. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the influence of the water accumulation in front of the orifice plate on the measurement results, and deal with it in time

1. Discharge the condensate in the pipeline in time. The installation of drainage devices is the main measure to prevent water from clogging the pipeline. On the one hand, it is necessary to rationally design the pipeline slope and the arrangement of the drainage device, and conduct regular maintenance and inspection of the differential pressure transmitter to prevent a large amount of water from blocking the pipeline. The timely discharge of condensed water also reduces the humidity of the pipeline, slows down the corrosion of condensed water and other impurities to the pipeline, thereby improving the accuracy of the measurement data
2. The simplest solution is to open a drain hole in the lower part of the throttle. Install a throttling device on the vertical process pipeline, or use a round hole or an eccentric hole. Among them, the measurement uncertainty of the eccentric orifice is smaller than that of the circular orifice.
When using the above-mentioned medium orifice flowmeter, if there is water in the pipeline, it will affect the measurement results and cause measurement errors. To avoid this measure, we must find a solution
