# Orifice flowmeter installation requirements and debugging methods

In fluid flow measurement, orifice flowmeter is a relatively common flowmeter. Many companies that use orifice flow meters for the first time are still relatively unfamiliar with how to install and debug orifice flow meters. The following small parts briefly explain the installation requirements and debugging methods of the orifice flowmeter, I hope it will be helpful to everyone.

Pipeline conditions for orifice flowmeter installation:

1. The straight pipe sections before and after the throttle valve must be straight and cannot be bent with the naked eye.

2. The straight pipe section used to install the throttle valve should be smooth. If it is not smooth, the flow coefficient should be multiplied by the roughness to correct the sparseness.

3. In order to ensure the flow of fluid in front of the throttle valve, a fully developed turbulent velocity distribution is formed, and this distribution becomes a uniform axisymmetric shape, so:

1) The cross-section of the straight pipe must be round. The roundness of the two-dimensional range in front of the throttle valve is very strict and has a certain roundness index. specific measure:

(A) On the OD, D/2, D, and 2D4 vertical pipe sections in front of the throttle valve, measure the single value of the inner diameter of at least 4 pipes, from the largest to the same angular distance, and take the average value D, the average value of any inner diameter The difference must not exceed &plusmN; 0.3%

After the throttle, (B) measured 8 single inner diameter values at OD and 2D positions using the above method. Compared with D, the maximum deviation of any single value must not exceed 2%.

2) A long enough straight pipe section is required before and after the throttle, and the length is long enough. The shape of the local resistance part in front of the throttle is related to the diameter ratio β;

(3) The cross-sectional length of the straight pipe between the first resistance member and the second resistance member on the upstream side of the throttle valve may be 1≤2 and &β of the listed values in the form of the second resistance member; =0.7 (regardless of the actual &β; value).

4. When the upstream side of the throttle valve is an open space or a 2D large container, the length of the straight pipe between the open space or between the large container and the throttle valve must not be less than 30D (15D). If there is other local resistance between the throttle valve and the open space or large container, the total length of the straight pipe from the open space to the throttle valve shall not be less than 30D (15D), and the difference between the throttle valve and the local resistance member The minimum length of straight pipe is not less than 30 D (15D).

5. Connect the signal line and power line

6. Open the inlet and outlet valves, the opening of the inlet and outlet valves should be the same.

7. Open the balance valve of the stainless steel three-valve group, slowly open the valve at the high and low pressure ends of the orifice, and close the balance valve of the stainless steel three-valve group after the fluid passes through the flowmeter.
