Choose the electromagnetic flowmeter correctly is to ensure a good prerequisite for a good electromagnetic flowmeter. For choosing the electromagnetic flowmeter, we should be based on the physical and chemical properties of the measured fluid medium, so that electromagnetic flowmeter diameter, flow range, lining materials, electrode materials and output current, and let the application parameter adapt to the measured fluid properties and flow requirements.


Selection of installation sites

In order to make the electromagnetic flowmeter stable and reliable, we should pay attention to the following aspects in the choice of installation location:

1. Try to avoid ferromagnetic objects and equipment with strong electromagnetic fields (large motors, large transformers, etc.), so as not to affect the magnetic field of the magnetic field sensor and flow signal.

2. The electromagnetic flowmeter should be installed in dry and ventilated place, avoid sun and rain, the ambient temperature should be -20 ~ +60 , relative humidity less than 85%.

3. There should be sufficient space around the flowmeter for easy installation and maintenance. The measurement principle of electromagnetic flowmeter does not depend on the characteristics of the flow, if the pipeline has a certain turbulence and vortex produced in the non-measurement area (such as: elbow, cut to the upstream or semi-open cut-off valve) Irrelevant. If steady-state eddy currents are present in the measurement zone, this will affect the stability and accuracy of the measurement. Some measures should be taken to stabilize the velocity distribution at present:

A. Increase the length of straight pipe before and after;

B. Using a flow stabilizer;

C. Reduce the cross section of the measuring point.
