Electromagnetic flowmeter has many other advantages of high measurement accuracy, reliability, good stability, full-featured, long life and so on. Developing relies on the norms manufacturing system, advanced design concept to ensure that the products of high precision and high reliability.
The measuring channel of the electromagnetic flowmeter is a smooth straight pipe with a non-blocking flow detector. It is suitable for the measurement of liquid-solid two-phase fluids containing solid particles or fibers, such as pulp, coal slurry, pulp, mud and sewage. Since the induced voltage signal is formed in the space full of the magnetic field and is the average on the surface of the pipe, the straight pipe section required for the sensor is shorter, and it is 5 times of the pipe diameter. The measurement accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter is not affected by the change of fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity. The induced voltage signal of sensor has a linear relationship with the average flow velocity, so the measurement accuracy is high. It does not produce the pressure loss caused by the detection flow, the resistance of the instrument is only the same length of the pipeline along the resistance, energy-saving effect is significant, and it is most suitable for the low resistance loss of large diameter water supply pipe.
The sensor part of electromagnetic flow meter only the lining and the electrode contact with the measured liquid, as long as the rational choice of electrodes and lining materials, it can realize corrosion and wear resistance. However, it also has some limitations when the use of electromagnetic flowmeter, such as: cannot measure the gas, steam and more large bubbles of liquid; cannot measure the conductivity of very low liquid, such as petroleum products and organic solvents. What’s more, due to the restrictions of lining materials and electrical insulation material, it cannot be used to measure the higher temperature of the liquid.
Electromagnetic flowmeter is widely used in sewage, fluorine chemical, water industry and medicine, steel and other industries, it is a mature technology, easy to use and cost-effective flow meter.
