1. Working principle
   The principle of flow measurement by the throttle device is based on the well-known principle of Baili Li's fluid mechanics. As shown in figure (1), when the throttle valve is placed on the pipe, a pressure difference (differential pressure P) will appear on both sides of the throttle valve. In this case, the flow rate is proportional to the square root of the differential pressure.

  D: Orifice diameter (mm)

  :Coefficient of expansion

  P: pressure difference before and after throttling (Pa): fluid density under working conditions (kg/m3)
