Precautions for using external liquid level gauge

Liquid level measurement is an important work in industrial production, and it is also one of the most important parameters in industrial production. It is called the “four industrial parameters” with temperature, pressure and flow. Over the years, the external liquid level gauge has gradually been applied to more industries, and qualitative progress has been made in terms of measurement accuracy, stability and reliability!
At present, the sonar type external liquid level gauge of Dinghua Electronics is often used in petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, military oil depot, storage and transportation, electric power, medicine and other industries, especially in the measurement of dangerous chemicals tank farm. Because of its characteristics of no opening, no fire, no tank cleaning, and no production stop, it is highly praised by users.
So what should be paid attention to when using the externally attached liquid level gauge?
Viscosity of measured medium
The greater the viscosity of the measured medium, the faster the attenuation of sonar signal in the transmission, which affects the measurement distance and the stability of the signal.
The liquid is not suspension or emulsion, and a large number of solids and bubbles cannot be suspended in the liquid.
Probe mounting surface requirements
The vessel wall where the measuring head is installed shall be made of hard materials capable of transmitting vibration well. For example: carbon steel, 16MnR, stainless steel, various hard metals, glass fiber reinforced plastics, hard plastics, ceramics, glass, hard rubber and other materials or other composite materials.
Probe installation requires dimensions on the vessel wall Φ 80mm, and the levelness shall be less than 5 °. The surface flatness of the installation surface shall reach 0.05mm, and the surface roughness shall reach 1.6.
State of the measured medium
Severe liquid inlet impact and continuous rotary stirring will make sonar signal unable to be transmitted normally and make liquid level measurement discontinuous.
During the installation process, for the spherical tank, the measuring probe must be installed at the vertical position of the center as far as possible to ensure that the signal emitted by the measuring probe is perpendicular to the page;
During maintenance, it must be noted that explosion-proof boxes should be used in explosion-proof areas; When setting parameters, be sure to use a specially equipped magnetic pen for operation to avoid misoperation and impact on production.
