Working principle of float level gauge:
The float level gauge is composed of a float and a stick. The float level gauge is installed on the top of the vessel through a connecting flange. The float floats on the liquid level according to the principle of equal liquid discharge. When the liquid level of the container changes, the floating ball will also move up and down. As a result of the magnetic force, the dry spring of the float level gauge is attracted by the magnetic force, the liquid level position becomes an electrical signal, and the liquid level is displayed by the digital display instrument version of the actual position. The float level gauge realizes the remote detection and control of the liquid level. Generally, the rod float level gauge (continuous quantity) itself has many reed tubes, and the float is actually a passage float chamber with magnet. When the liquid level rises (falls), it opens the near reed.

The measuring principle of the float level gauge is:

5. The magnetic float level gauge is developed based on the principle of buoyancy and magnetic coupling. When the liquid level in the measured container rises and falls, the magnetic float in the tube of the level gauge rises and falls accordingly. The permanent magnetic steel in the float is transferred to the magnetic column turnover indicator through the magnetic coupling to drive the red and white columns to turn over. When the liquid level rises, the column turns from white to red. When the fluid level drops, the steering column changes from red to white. The red white junction of the indicator is the true liquid level in the container to achieve clear indication of the liquid level. The ultrasonic level gauge is a digital level gauge controlled by a microprocessor. In the measurement, the pulse ultrasonic wave is sent out by the sensor (transducer), and the acoustic wave is received by the same sensor after being reflected by the object surface, and then converted into an electrical signal. The distance between the sensor and the object to be measured is calculated by the time between the transmission and reception of sound waves. It has no mechanical movable parts, high reliability, simple and convenient installation, belongs to non-contact measurement, and is not affected by liquid viscosity and density, so the accuracy is relatively low, and the test is easy to have blind areas. It is not allowed to measure pressure vessels and volatile media.
6. Due to the great influence of medium density and temperature, the accuracy is often poor. In order to eliminate these effects, many other test instruments are needed. Therefore, it is very expensive to establish a complete hydrostatic pressure measurement system. However, it has high sealing and leak proof properties, and is suitable for high temperature, high pressure, corrosion resistance and other occasions. It is superior to high temperature, high pressure, toxic, harmful and strongly corrosive media. In case of direct contact with the medium, the floating ball seal is strictly required, and the viscous medium is not measured. If the magnetic material is demagnetized, it is easy to cause the level gauge to fail to work normally, and the valve clack is easy to get stuck, leading to the failure of remote indication. Demagnetization and other magnetic materials are easy to cause abnormal operation of the level gauge.
The structure of float level switch is mainly designed and manufactured according to the principles of buoyancy and static magnetic field. The position of the magnetic float in the measured medium is affected by the buoyancy: the change of the liquid level leads to the change of the position of the magnetic float. The degree of action of the sensor (magnetic spring switch) in the magnet and floating ball generates the switch signal.
The principle is similar to that of float level gauge, but the output of float level gauge is quasi continuous electrical signal, and the output of float level switch is discrete switch signal.
