Installation requirements of balance orifice flowmeter

In fact, the installation of the balance orifice flowmeter is very simple, that is to know the requirements for the installation of the straight pipe section. It is OK after the first 5D and 3D. In addition, it is necessary to distinguish whether the measured medium is gas or liquid. When measuring gas, the impulse pipe is 45 degrees upward and 45 degrees downward.

1、 The balance orifice flowmeter is bidirectional flow and can be installed in any direction.
2、 When the balance orifice flowmeter is under positive pressure, the pressure lead pipe is introduced into the three valve group and connected to the positive pressure chamber of the differential pressure transmitter, and the pressure lead pipe on the negative pressure side of the balance orifice flowmeter is introduced into the three valve group and connected to the negative pressure chamber of the differential pressure transmitter;
3、 The installation position of differential pressure transmitter on the process pipeline is related to the measured medium. In order to obtain better installation effect, the following conditions should be considered:
1) Prevent the transmitter from directly contacting with corrosive or overheated measured medium;
2) Prevent dregs from depositing and blocking in the impulse pipe;
3) . the length of impulse pipes on both sides of positive and negative pressure shall be the same as far as possible;
4) . the liquid column pressure head in the impulse pipe on both sides of positive and negative pressure shall be kept balanced;
5) The impulse pipe shall be installed at the place with the minimum temperature gradient and temperature fluctuation
6) If the measuring medium is steam, the height of the condenser shall be kept at the same level.

4、 When measuring liquid flow, the differential pressure transmitter shall be installed next to or below the measured pipeline so that bubbles can be discharged into the pipeline.
5、 When measuring the gas flow, the differential pressure transmitter shall be installed next to or above the measured pipeline, so that the accumulated liquid can easily flow into the pipeline.
6、 When measuring the steam flow, the differential pressure transmitter shall be installed under the measured pipe so that the condensate can fill the impulse pipe. Special attention shall be paid to prevent the temperature of the medium contacted by the differential pressure transmitter from exceeding the limit temperature used by the transmitter when measuring steam or other high-temperature media.
