The smaller the turndown ratio of the mass flow meter, the larger the pressure drop?

Mass flow meters can measure the mass of the fluid medium and the density of the fluid medium. The turndown ratio of the meter affects its own measurement accuracy, but I haven’t heard of it causing a pressure drop. The mass flowmeter is a quality detection instrument made according to the Coriolis force effect, so the detection of the mass flowmeter is not affected by temperature, pressure, flow rate, density, viscosity, etc.

Features of Mass Flow Meters
The mass flowmeter has high detection accuracy, wide measuring range, high reliability and small maintenance in the later period. When measuring the mass flow of a fluid medium, the density of the fluid medium can also be measured. Its output signal is 4-20maDC analog signal, and it can output frequency signal at the same time, which can be better compatible with computer and form a complete intrinsically safe system. Due to the above-mentioned characteristics of mass flow meters, although they are expensive, they are widely popular in industrial automation production processes, so they are rapidly popularized and applied.

The composition of the mass flow meter
Mass flow meter consists of sensor, transmitter and display instrument. work. The shape of the measuring tube of the detection element sensor varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. For example, the measuring tube of the mass flowmeter produced by the Rosemount Company in the United States is a U-shaped tube, while the measuring tube produced by the German Engels-House (E+H) Company is a straight tube.

The working process of mass flowmeter
Although the manufacturers are different, the principle of the sensor industry is the same. The fluid medium vibrates the measuring tube through the excitation coil, and the fluid medium generates a Ge-type force in the vibrating tube. Because the Ge-type force generated by the fluid medium at the inlet and outlet of the measuring tube is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction, the vibrating tube will be twisted. The fluid medium passes through an electromagnetic detector or a photoelectric detector, and the distortion generated by the measuring tube is converted into an electrical signal and output to the transmitter for further processing. The transmitter converts the transmitted electrical signal into a low signal or binary signal, then transforms and amplifies it, and then outputs an electrical signal (4-20mADC) or a frequency and pulse signal proportional to flow and density.
