Installation and Operation Instructions for Intelligent Plug in Electromagnetic Flowmeter

Product introduction:
1、This product is a flowmeter for measuring liquid. The precondition is that the medium must be conductive.
2、The flow velocity range of the medium measured by this product is 0.1m/s – 15m/s, and the optimal flow velocity range of the flowmeter is 2m/s-3m/s.
3、Environmental conditions
Ambient temperature: sensor – 25 ℃ -+60 ℃
Converter – 10 ℃ -+60 ℃
Relative humidity: 5%
4、Working conditions
Maximum fluid temperature: 70 ℃ (except for special customization)
Fluid conductivity: ≥ 50us/cm
5、Requirements for product installation straight pipe section
1) The front straight pipe section at the installation position of the instrument shall not be less than 10 times the length of the instrument diameter, and the rear straight pipe section shall not be less than 5 times the length of the instrument diameter.
2) If pipe fittings such as valves, elbows or reducers are installed at the front and back of the instrument installation location, they must meet the requirements of 15 times the length of the front straight pipe section and 10 times the length of the rear straight pipe section. (Take the installation of flowmeter with diameter of DN100 as an example: the straight pipe section in front of the instrument is required to be 1m, and the straight pipe section at the back is required to be 0.5m.)
6、Requirements for installation position
1) It is required that the instrument shall be installed far away from the strong magnetic field interference. (For example, motor, solenoid valve, frequency converter and other equipment, the straight-line distance from these equipment shall not be less than 8 meters).
2) The instrument shall not be installed under the pipeline or other equipment with dripping phenomenon to prevent the product from being damped due to dripping or rain and causing damage to the instrument itself.
3) It is better to install the instrument on the vertical pipe with upward flow direction, and it is prohibited to install the vertical pipe with downward flow direction. If the instrument is installed in a horizontal position, it is required to ensure that the main electrode line of the instrument and the ground are horizontal or nearly horizontal, and its maximum inclination angle cannot exceed 15 degrees. A straight pipe section with a diameter distance of 5 times shall be reserved in the downstream direction, and an upward elbow shall be installed behind it. Ensure that the position of the measuring instrument is full
4) Reasonably support the instrument. The instrument itself cannot be used as a load support point.
5) Keep the instrument away from fire sources.
6) The installation position of the instrument shall avoid the pipe section easy to precipitate and the pipe section with bubbles.
7) It is prohibited to install in the pipe section with negative pressure and insufficient pipe.
8) It is prohibited to install it at the inlet of the water pump and avoid the pipe section with excessive vibration.
9) The bypass pipe of the instrument shall be reasonably designed to facilitate the later maintenance of the instrument.
7、 Protection requirements
1) Avoid excessive temperature difference between the inside and outside of the flowmeter, which may cause condensation inside the flowmeter.
2) The flowmeter itself shall not be directly exposed to the rain (if the instrument is installed outdoors, rainproof measures must be taken), unless otherwise required.
8、 Please install the following procedure steps for installation
1) The installation position shall be the pipe section without obvious vibration and obvious unevenness on the inner wall of the pipe.
2) Firstly, a 60-62mm hole shall be opened directly above the pipe measuring point. The edges around the round hole shall be smooth and clean without burrs, gas cutting scars, etc.
3) Screw the mounting piece off the sensor and reliably weld it to the above opening. The requirements are as follows: A: make the lower end of the mounting piece flush with the inner surface of the pipe.
B: Ensure that there is no leakage at the welding point.
4) Loosen the three locking screws of the sensor to pull out the detection rod and detection head as a whole for later installation (note: the user must not disconnect the connection between the detection head and the insertion rod).
5) Wrap PTFE rubber primer on the upper thread of the mounting part, and tighten the ball valve together with the sealing and locking mechanism.
6) Insert the detection rod slowly from above, tighten the lock nut slightly, and press the insertion rod to the installation depth prompt line mark.
7) Tighten the screw clamp and 3 locking screws to fix them.
IX adjustment
1) Insert the insertion rod into the installation line, and rotate the insertion rod to make the flow direction rod point to be consistent with and parallel to the fluid direction.
2) After adjustment, tighten the locking screw clamp with force and then tighten the three locking screws respectively. Their function is to ensure that the insertion rod will not be pushed out by the pressure in the pipe and that the insertion rod will not shake and shift. (Note: When screwing the first two screws, do not use any more force until the insertion rod is contacted. Just screw down the third screw as much as possible.)
