4. Rotameter (Variable Area) Flowmeter
Principle: Consists of a tapered tube with a float that rises in response to the flow rate, creating a variable flow area. The position of the float corresponds to the flow rate.
5. Annubar Flowmeter
Principle: Employs multiple pressure taps on a blunt body inserted into the flow stream. Measures the differential pressure at various locations to calculate flow rate accurately.
6. Flow Nozzle Flowmeter
Principle: Similar to the venturi tube but with a simpler design. It offers moderate accuracy and is suitable for various fluid types and flow rates.
7. V-Cone Flowmeter
Principle: Utilizes a cone-shaped obstruction placed in the pipe. It measures the differential pressure across the cone to determine flow rate.
8. Elbow Tap Flowmeter
Principle: Uses a 90-degree elbow with taps at specific locations. Measures the pressure difference between taps to calculate flow rate.
9. Wedge Flowmeter
Principle: Employs a wedge-shaped obstruction in the flow path. It measures the pressure drop across the wedge to determine flow rate.
10. Quadrant Edge Plate Flowmeter
Principle: Features a quadrant-shaped edge on a plate within the flow stream. Measures the differential pressure created by the edge to estimate flow rate.
