2 ACD-1DL series liquid level gauge structure and principle Working principle: When the sensor of the ACD-1DL series liquid level gauge is working, the circuit part of the sensor will excite a pulse current on the waveguide wire, and the current will be in the waveguide when it propagates along the waveguide wire. A pulsed current magnetic field is generated around the wire. By measuring the time difference between the pulse current and the torsion wave, the position of the float, that is, the position of the liquid level, can be accurately determined. The technical advantage of the magnetostrictive level gauge is that the magnetostrictive level gauge is suitable for high-precision clean liquid level measurement, with an accuracy of 1mm, and the accuracy of the latest product can reach 0.1mm. Magnetostrictive level gauges can also be used to measure the interface between two different liquids.

4 Installation of magnetic float level gauge
(1) Installation precautions. Before installing the sensor on-site, you should connect the sensor independently according to the correct wiring method, and move the floating ball by hand to check whether the sensor is working properly and whether the output is linear and stable. After confirming that it is correct, install it again, and keep the measuring rod upright after installation. straight.
(2) Installation method. Installation method: This method is suitable for most liquid tank measurements. Use the special customized flange corresponding to the on-site oil metering port and screw it directly into the liquid level sensor according to the installation method.
(3) Correct selection of magnetic float level gauge. The selection of the magnetic float level gauge must first meet the requirements of the on-site process requirements, operating temperature, liquid level or boundary level change range; secondly, determine whether to choose heat insulation, antifreeze or heat tracing accessories; then consider the anti-corrosion of the connecting pipe material according to the characteristics of the medium And the explosion-proof grade of the magnetostrictive liquid level sensor, in addition, the appropriate float specification and material should be selected according to the density. If you need to measure the total liquid level and the interface of two different materials at the same time, two different specifications of magnetic floats should be selected according to two different densities.
5 Common faults during use
(1) Failure caused by installation. The adjustment of the level gauge is normal, and it is found that the float has been sucked in a certain position for a period of time after it is put into use. This is mainly caused by the magnetic float level gauge being installed too close to the steel plate when it is installed through the steel platform. Therefore, installation through the steel platform requires special attention to the distance between the pipe wall of the magnetic float level gauge and the cutting edge of the platform. According to field experience, this distance of about 100mm can ensure that the magnetic float will not be affected.
(2) Injury caused by improper use. When the level gauge is put into use on site, pay special attention to opening the upper valve cover first. This is because the bottom of the connecting pipe of the level gauge is equipped with a protective float and a thrust spring. Otherwise, the effect of large differential pressure may break the float and make the magnetic float level gauge unusable. After the level gauge has been put into use for a period of time, the float is difficult to float and the float is not flexible in movement. This is basically caused by the iron filings and other dirt sticking to the magnetic float. The medium can be drained first, and then the float can be taken out to eliminate the iron filings and other dirt on the magnetic float. The condensate oil tank in our factory has a muddy bottom of about 50cm for a long time, and there is a large error between the magnetostrictive level gauge and the original static pressure level gauge. During the use of the level gauge, if the output signal produces frequent disturbances or interference pulses, it is necessary to check whether the signal cable shielding layer is reliably grounded and whether the working grounding resistance can meet the requirements. If the interference is not completely eliminated, a signal isolator can be used to solve it. Pay special attention to the use of the level gauge. Do not use a strong magnet to pull the float up and down outside the connecting pipe for inspection, otherwise it will cause the magnetic float to magnetize and change its polarity, or even weaken the float, making it difficult to work normally.
(3) The measurement error caused by the designed height of the magnetic float level gauge. Since the sensor float at the bottom of the level gauge is not designed to touch the bottom of the tank, there is a gap height distance, so during the measurement process, if the actual liquid level is lower than the gap height distance, the measurement will be inaccurate.
(4) Damage from ultraviolet rays. Due to the open-air installation of the tank top level gauge, some of the level gauge’s LCD screen crystals have deteriorated, the screen display is blurred, and operations such as data reading and calibration cannot be performed.
(5) The sensor probe is easy to corrode. As the ACD-1DL series liquid level gauge sensor is immersed in the liquid level in the tank for a long time, it is easy to cause corrosion. Some tanks maintain a high liquid level for a long time. Due to the strong corrosiveness of the untreated water and more dirt in the tank, the sensors in the tank have been damaged within 9 months of use. It cannot be repaired and can only be replaced.
6 Protective measures and recommended protective measures: Strictly follow the installation regulations of the level detection instrument. During the installation process, firmly fix the level gauge and install the meter box to make it reliable grounding to avoid errors caused by signal interference; strengthen the liquid level The management of the level gauge avoids damage to the sealed glass tube of the level gauge caused by human factors. In response to UV damage, you should turn the top of the magnetic float level gauge in time to minimize the time of direct sunlight, and at the same time stick a protective film on the surface of the LCD screen, which can effectively prevent UV damage. In view of the fragile damage of the sensor float, it is recommended to select a more corrosion-resistant material for replacement according to the corrosiveness of the liquid in the tank. At the same time, strengthen the daily management of measuring instruments, regularly check the parameter status of the level gauge, and promptly rectify problems when problems are found.
