Frequently Asked Questions of Ultrasonic Level Gauge

1. The influence of stirring on the ultrasonic level gauge:The on-site container is often stirred, and the liquid fluctuates greatly, which affects the measurement of the ultrasonic level gauge; in this case, the speed of the stirrer can be appropriately reduced, or the probe can be deviated from the stirring center; a static tube can also be installed to effectively eliminate the stirrer The effect of stirring on liquid level measurement.2. The influence of foam on ultrasonic level gauge:In the process of measuring the liquid level with an ultrasonic level gauge, the interference of foam is often encountered. Foams can be divided into four types according to their properties: dry, wet, neutral, and heavy. Dry foam and wet foam can reflect ultrasonic waves back, so it will not affect the measurement with ultrasonic level gauge; neutral foam will absorb and diffuse part of the ultrasonic waves, which will weaken the reflection of ultrasonic waves, resulting in unstable echo. Therefore, when the surface of the medium is thick and thick foam, the measurement error of the ultrasonic level gauge will be large, or even impossible to measure.3. The influence of steam and mist on the ultrasonic level gauge:When the working environment temperature is high, the liquid medium is prone to produce steam or mist. Because the steam is lighter than air, it floats to the top of the tank and forms a steam layer that absorbs and scatters ultrasonic pulses. By installing a static pipe, the influence of the steam layer on the measurement can be reduced or weakened.4. The influence of the blind zone on the ultrasonic level gauge:The blind zone of the ultrasonic level gauge is just like the human eye. The blind zone is when the object is very close to the eyes, but it is difficult to see. This distance is called the blind zone. The blind zone of the ultrasonic level gauge varies according to the range. If the range is small, the blind zone will be small, and if the range is large, the blind zone will be large. Therefore, the measured zu high liquid level must not be higher than the blind zone of the ultrasonic level gauge.5. The influence of pressure and temperature on ultrasonic level gauge:First of all, the speed of sound cannot propagate in a vacuum, and the essence of ultrasound is a sound wave and belongs to a mechanical wave, so it cannot propagate in a vacuum.Secondly, it is temperature. Although the parameters of the ultrasonic level gauge have a large pressure value, as the temperature increases, the large pressure value will decrease accordingly, so pay attention to this parameter when selecting the model. In addition, for the level gauge installed outdoors, measures such as installing a sunshade can be adopted to reduce the influence of temperature factors.Precautions for installation of static pipe technology: Ultrasonic level gauges all use Echo-Pipe technology, allowing the probe to be installed in 2″-4″ metal or non-metal pipes without being interfered by reflection waves from the inner wall of the pipe. It is suitable for applications in environments where there is agitation, foam, water vapor and clutter generated by surrounding obstacles.Pay attention to the following items when installing the conduit:1 Select the appropriate catheter diameter. 2 The inside of the pipe is required to be smooth without welding seams. 3 Open small holes in the blind zone to ensure the pressure balance inside and outside the pipe. 4 The lower end of the catheter should be immersed under the low measuring liquid level. 5 The lower end of the pipe should be opened with a 45° bevel to keep the liquid flowing normally.
