Measures to Ensure the Accuracy of Metal Tube Rotameter

The metal tube float flowmeter is a flow measuring instrument commonly used in industrial automation process control. It can be used to measure the flow of liquids and gases, and is especially suitable for medium flow measurement with low velocity and small flow. But when installing, try to avoid direct sunlight and high temperature environment to avoid reducing the capacity and life of the lithium battery or the LCD screen. In order to ensure the normal operation of the metal tube float flowmeter and achieve the required measurement accuracy, the following points should generally be noted:1. The fluid flows through the flowmeter from bottom to top. The metal tube float flowmeter is generally installed vertically, and the verticality is less than 2°. When installed horizontally, the horizontal angle is less than 2°, so as to deal with faults or not affect production when purging. The metal tube float flowmeter installed on the process pipeline should be bypassed.2. There should be a 250mm straight pipe section at the outlet, and a straight pipe section with a length of more than 5 times the pipe diameter at the entrance of the metal tube float flowmeter. In order to ensure the measurement accuracy of the instrument.3. If the medium contains ferromagnetic substances, consider installing a magnetic filter between the valve and the straight pipe section.4. When used for gas measurement, ensure that the pipeline pressure is not less than 5 times the pressure loss of the flowmeter to make the float work stably. When heat insulation protection measures are required, if the temperature of the measured medium is higher than 220°C or the fluid temperature is too low to cause crystallization, the jacket type should be selected for cooling or heat preservation.5. The pipe flanges, fasteners, and gaskets are the same as the flowmeter flange standards to enable the instrument to be installed and operated normally.6. The product does not require maintenance after the device is operating normally. Most of the faults occur when the device is just running. Because the pipeline is not cleaned, the float is stuck by solid particles. At this time, the pointer of the indicator stops at a certain position. At this time, first close the valves on both sides of the flowmeter, remove the flowmeter, take out the float for cleaning, and then reinstall it.7. The flange of the process pipeline must be coaxial and parallel to the flange of the flowmeter, in order to avoid deformation of the flowmeter caused by the pipeline. Appropriately increase pipeline support to avoid pipeline vibration and reduce the axial load of the flowmeter.8. In order to ensure the performance of the meter, no ferromagnetic materials are allowed to exist at least 100mm around the meter installation, because the meter transmits signals through magnetic coupling.9. The gas measuring instrument is calibrated at a specific pressure. If the outlet is directly discharged to the atmosphere, it will produce a pressure drop at the float and cause data distortion; if it is such a working condition, it should be installed at the outlet of the instrument A regulating valve.

10. Due to the uneven pressure, the PTFE will deform when installing the PTFE-lined instrument, so the flange nuts are tightened evenly and symmetrically.
