Precautions for choosing ultrasonic level gauge

Sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and other corrosive liquids are common in chemical companies. When measuring liquid level, they are non-direct contact level gauges. Ultrasonic level gauges are one of the most commonly used level gauges.Ultrasonic level gauge is a non-contact measurement, suitable for most measuring media. As a new type of level measuring instrument, ultrasonic level gauge has a very wide range of applications in industrial process measurement. It has reliable work, easy installation, long service life, It is maintenance-free and has a relative price advantage. Since the ultrasonic level gauge is not in contact with the measured medium when measuring the level, it has a fully enclosed anti-corrosion structure, so it has a good effect on the level measurement of various liquids such as viscous, corrosive, and turbid liquids. Do some analysis on the precautions of ultrasonic level gauge in measuring corrosive medium level, hoping to help manufacturers to choose a suitable level gauge. The first thing to consider when choosing an ultrasonic level gauge is the temperature of the medium. For the normal temperature type of the ultrasonic level gauge, the temperature around the probe should be between -20 and 80°C, and for the high temperature type, the temperature around the probe should be between -20 and 100°C.The second is the selection of sensors. When ultrasonic level gauges measure corrosive media, general manufacturers will choose anti-corrosion probes. Considering environmental factors, physically sealed anti-corrosion probes should be selected for this occasion. After zui, it is the choice of the host part. As the host part, it requires good sealing. As long as there is a little leakage of the medium, it may enter the ultrasonic level gauge from the shell or the inlet port, which will cause the internal circuit board to be corroded. For corrosive gases in the environment, a split ultrasonic level gauge can be used to protect the service life of the host.Ultrasonic level gauges cannot detect reflected echoes at the same time when transmitting ultrasonic pulses. Since the transmitted ultrasonic pulse has a certain time width, and the sensor still has after-vibration after the ultrasonic is transmitted, the reflected echo cannot be detected during the period. Therefore, a small distance from the probe surface downward cannot be detected normally. This distance is called a blind zone. If the measured maximum level enters the blind zone, the meter will not be able to detect correctly and errors will occur. If necessary, the level gauge can be heightened and installed. When selecting the engineering design, the most important thing to pay attention to is to choose a good installation location and design a suitable installation interface. The installation position should be as far as possible to choose a position with a stable liquid surface and a flat material surface, and at the same time away from the escalator, the inlet and the outlet, and keep as far as possible from the container wall and away from the agitator.
