The gap between most products of Chinese enterprises and foreign products is also in this regard. For example, my country’s self-developed distributed control system (DCS) and electromagnetic flowmeters, the basic performance and functions of these products are close to the international level, but there is still a certain gap in reliability and engineering application capabilities.Gap 2: Low level of digitization, intelligence, and integrationThe technical characteristics and trends of modern industrial instrumentation are digitization, intelligence, networking and integration, while the majority of products in my country are generally conventional products, and intelligent products have just started. Take nuclear power control system and instrument integration as an example. Due to the weak foundation, after entering the era of digital control technology, the gap is even greater.Gap 3: poor technologyForeign intelligent actuators have adopted new technologies such as variable frequency speed regulation, new motors, low power consumption, miniature piezoelectric ceramic I/P converters, Bluetooth communication technology, intelligence and fieldbus, but the domestic has just started.Gap 4: low product precisionTaking mass flow meters as an example, the measurement accuracy of foreign countries is divided into 4 grades, the highest accuracy and can measure gas is 0.1 grade, the most common is 0.15 grade, while the domestic current can only reach the economical 0.2 grade and applicable type. 0.5 level. Another example is the accuracy of my country’s metering instruments at gas stations, which generally have an accuracy of 5%, but the accuracy of delivery of 300,000 tons of foreign oil tankers to our country is 0.1%.Gap five: incomplete varieties and specificationsTake the high-precision intelligent pressure/differential pressure transmitter as an example. The domestic transmitter lacks products with low pressure below 1kPa, high differential pressure above 800kPa, high static pressure above 16MPa, corrosion resistance and other specifications in the measurement reference range. The special requirements of some engineering or system applications cannot be met.Gap 6: Low degree of automationFor example, high-performance photoelectric direct-reading spectrometer, the vacuum degree of foreign instruments is monitored in real time by computer, while domestic instruments still need manual operation in many aspects.Gap 7: Fewer high-end productsAt present, my country’s high-end products are few or even blank. Take the atomic absorption spectrophotometer as an example. Foreign high-end instruments with Zeeman background correction technology have not been developed in China so far. The high-end needs mainly rely on imports.Gap eight: low market shareTake the programmable logic controller (PLC) as an example. At present, more than 95% of the Chinese PLC market is occupied by foreign products. European and American products have an absolute advantage in the field of large and medium-sized PLCs, Japanese products have an advantage in the field of small PLCs, and products from South Korea and Taiwan also have a certain market share. The market impact of China’s local self-owned brand PLC is very small, and it is difficult to form economies of scale.
