Typical case|Application of Vacorrda tuning fork liquid level switch in underground storage tank pump control

For a long time, a user of Vacorrda Automation has been planning a technical transformation project for buried storage tank level measurement and pump control technology. The customer wants to output three alarm switch signals through the liquid level sensor to control the start and stop of the three centrifugal pumps respectively, so as to avoid safety accidents caused by the damage of the centrifugal pump or the overflow of the fuel tank due to dry operation.Because the acidic medium is stored in the buried tank of our factory, there is steam in the tank body, the measured medium contains many impurities, and the liquid level fluctuates greatly. Therefore, such special working conditions also put forward higher requirements for the measuring instrument.Through the comparison of common liquid level measuring instruments such as ultrasonic level gauge, radar level gauge, float level gauge, magnetostrictive level gauge, and float level switch, it is found that they do not meet the requirements of on-site working conditions.Comparison of level meters1. The ultrasonic level gauge    the ultrasonic level gauge emits mechanical waves, and the probe can send and receive signals. When there is steam in the use environment, it will interfere with the transmission and reflection of the signal, thereby affecting the accuracy of the measurement, so it is not recommended.2. Radar level gauge    Radar level gauge emits electromagnetic waves, water vapor is easy to condense on the surface of the probe, which will also produce interference signals. Fluctuations in the liquid level will produce false echo emissions. However, some manufacturers can do echo suppression during signal reception, so false echoes can be overcome to a certain extent. However, the use of radar level gauges is unreliable in working conditions with high steam concentration and large liquid level fluctuations. In addition, the price of radar level gauges is relatively high.3. The float level gauge    moves up and down on the connecting rod to trigger the pull-in of the reed switch in the connecting rod, and output different current values accordingly. However, because the tested solution contains impurities, it is easy to be blocked, which affects the normal floating of the float, thereby affecting its working reliability. Similarly, magnetostrictive level gauges have similar problems.4. The float level switch is a simple switch for civilian use. It is not recommended to use it in an environment with fluctuating liquid level and high acidity, especially large storage tanks, which generally cannot be installed and work unreliable.   Why is the tuning fork level switch competent?   Huikeda Tuning Fork Liquid Level Switch outputs a switching signal by detecting the frequency change of the vibration of the probe, which is completely unaffected by steam. By setting the detection delay, it is not disturbed by the fluctuation of the liquid level. As shown in the figure above, on the top of the buried tank, three Huikeda tuning fork level switches are used for flange installation, and the distance between the alarm point and the flange surface (insertion depth) is 1500mm, 1000mm, and 500mm, respectively. Start and stop of the three pumps.
