Vortex Flowmeter Installation and Maintenance Guide

The vortex flowmeter is a measuring instrument used to measure gas and liquid. The correct installation of the vortex flowmeter can give full play to its efficiency. The following describes the installation specifications and maintenance guidelines of the vortex flowmeter.I. Installation specifications1. Reasonably choose the installation location and environment.Avoid high-power equipment, high-frequency equipment, and high-power switchgear; avoid the influence of high-temperature heat sources and radiation sources, avoid strong vibration locations and strong corrosive environments, etc., and consider the convenience of installation and maintenance.2. There must be enough straight pipe sections upstream and downstream. If the upstream of the sensor installation point is on the same plane, there are two 90-fold bends, then the upstream straight pipe section ≥ 25D, and the downstream straight pipe section & ge; 5D.If the upstream of the sensor installation point has two 90 amperes on different planes, the upstream straight pipe section ≧40D, the downstream straight pipe section ≥5D.The regulating valve should be installed outside 5D downstream of the sensor (as shown in Figure 1). If it must be installed upstream of the sensor, the upstream straight pipe section of the sensor shall not be less than 50D, and the downstream shall not be less than 5D.3. The upstream and downstream pipelines of the installation point should be concentric with the sensor, and the coaxial deviation should not be less than 0.5DN.4. Vibration reduction measures should be taken for the pipeline. The sensor should be installed on a pipeline with strong vibration as much as possible, especially for lateral vibration. If installation is required, measures should be taken to reduce vibration, and pipe fastening devices should be installed at 2D upstream and downstream of the sensor, and anti-vibration pads should be added.5. Horizontal pipe installation is the most commonly used installation method for flow sensors. When measuring gas flow, if the measured gas contains a small amount of liquid, the sensor should be installed in the higher part of the pipeline. When measuring liquid flow, if the measured liquid contains a small amount of gas, the sensor should be installed in the lower part of the pipeline.6. Install the sensor in the vertical pipe. When measuring gas flow, the sensor can be installed on a vertical pipe, and the flow direction is not restricted. If the measured gas contains a small amount of liquid, the flow direction of the gas should be bottom-up.When measuring the flow of liquid, the direction of liquid flow should be up and down: this does not add the weight of the liquid to the probe.2. Maintenance guidelines1. Any flowmeter has an aging cycle, so it is necessary to check whether the flowmeter is consistent with the actual flow rate from time to time. If there is an error in the measurement, it should be replaced in time or returned to the original manufacturer.2. The flowmeter has mechanical vibration on the pipeline, so a fixed device should be installed to keep the metering speed consistent.3. The flow probe, temperature probe and pressure probe must be cleaned regularly to avoid contamination, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy.
