Product Details
Ultrasonic level gauge is a non-contact, high reliability, cost-effective, easy to install and maintain level measurement instrument. It is a low-cost measuring device for measuring liquids, slurries and solids at industrial sites. Widely used in water treatment, municipal, chemical, metallurgical, machinery manufacturing industry level or level measurement.
Ultrasonic level gauges are divided into integrated type and separated type. The integrated type, the sensor and host are assembled together, and the installation is simple and convenient; the separated type separates the sensor from the host, and is more suitable for installing on a storage tank, a silo, and a bracket.
Working Principle
Ultrasonic emission: The liquid level gauge starts the measurement process by emitting ultrasonic pulses. Usually, the frequency of ultrasound is between 20 kHz and 200 kHz.
Ultrasonic propagation: The emitted ultrasonic pulse propagates along air or other media. When the pulse encounters the surface of the liquid, some of the energy is reflected by the liquid, while the remaining energy penetrates the liquid and continues to propagate downwards.
Reflection and reception: The liquid level gauge is equipped with a receiver to capture ultrasonic waves reflected back from the liquid surface. The received signal includes the time delay between pulse transmission and reception, which is the propagation time of ultrasonic waves.
Calculate liquid level: By measuring the propagation time of ultrasonic waves, the liquid level gauge can calculate the distance from the liquid surface to the sensor. This distance is directly proportional to the height of the liquid level.
