Working Principle
HKDJ Series electrode level switch works together with the controller. When conductive liquid medium is not in contact with the electrode bar, there is no current between the electrode rods; when the electrode rod contacts the liquid, the electrode rod is connected and the controller operates. The weak current supplied to the electrode by the controller can ensure the product operate safely for a long time.Electrode level switch, also known as a conductive or conductivity level switch, is a type of liquid level sensor used to detect the level of conductive liquids in a tank or container. This switch operates based on the principle of electrical conductivity, which varies with the presence of liquid.
Components
Electrodes: Probes that are inserted into the liquid. Typically, these are stainless steel rods or other conductive materials.
Controller: The electronic unit that monitors the electrodes and determines the liquid level based on conductivity.
Mounting Assembly: Fixtures to secure the electrodes in place within the tank.
Electrical Connections: Wires to connect the electrodes to the controller and the controller to external circuits or control systems.
How It Works
Electrode Immersion: Multiple electrodes (usually a minimum of two) are placed at different heights in the tank. One electrode typically serves as a common reference (ground).
Conductive Path: When the liquid level rises and immerses one or more electrodes, it completes an electrical circuit between the common electrode and the immersed electrode(s) because the liquid is conductive.
Signal Generation: The completed circuit allows a small electrical current to flow, which the controller detects.
Level Detection: The controller determines which electrodes are immersed and, based on this, infers the liquid level in the tank.
Control Action: The controller can then trigger actions such as alarms, pumps, or valves based on the detected level.

Applications
Water Treatment Plants: Monitoring and controlling water levels in various tanks and reservoirs.
Chemical Processing: Managing levels of conductive chemical solutions.
Boiler Systems: Controlling water levels in boilers to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Food and Beverage Industry: Monitoring liquid levels in processing and storage tanks.
Advantages
Precision: Accurate detection of liquid levels.
Simple Installation: Generally straightforward to install and configure.
Reliability: Solid-state electronics offer high reliability with minimal maintenance.
Versatility: Can be used with a variety of conductive liquids.
